Most people picture a Florida beach trip the same way: a tall hotel, a long elevator ride, a balcony that looks like every other balcony. Singer Island can be different, and that difference is the reason we built Bermuda Bungalows the way we did.
## A small, gated retreat in downtown Singer Island
Bermuda Bungalows is a privately owned, gated collection of six newly built bungalow suites in downtown Singer Island, Florida. Each one is single-story and Bermuda-style, set among palms and tropical landscaping. There is no lobby to cross and no tower to wait for. You come through the gate, and you are home for the week.
## Close to the things people come here for
From the property, the beach is about a five-minute walk. That means a beach day does not have to be planned like an expedition. You can go down to the sand in the morning, come back for lunch in your own kitchen, and decide later whether the afternoon belongs to the ocean or the pool.
## The pool at the center of it all
Every bungalow opens onto the same heated saltwater pool and spa, which sits at the center of the property. It is shared by the six suites rather than private to any one of them, and it is yours to use as much or as little as you like.
## What guests have said
We would rather show you than tell you, so we will keep this short: guests have given Bermuda Bungalows a 4.78 average rating, and more than 100 of their reviews are five-star. Each suite has its own listing on our website, with its own photos and reviews, so you can see exactly where you would be staying.
## Planning your first afternoon
If you are thinking about Singer Island this season, start with a simple question: what would your first afternoon look like? The beach, the pool, or a short walk to see what is nearby? There is no wrong answer here, and that is rather the point.
